A ‘Behind the Seams’ look at your favorite films on Feb. 28

To highlight the eccentricities of his character, actor Robert Downey Jr. asked that extremely large pockets be sewn into his costume for the movie “Sherlock Holmes.

See this costume as well as those from nearly 30 films such as “The Duchess,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Sense and Sensibility” and “The Phantom of the Opera” on Feb. 28 during a member’s night at the Durham Museum.

What: UNMC and The Nebraska Medical Center employees are invited to join the Durham Museum’s Curator Carrie Wieners on a “behind-the-seams” tour of 44 screen-worn costumes on loan from COSPROP studios in London. In addition, guests will explore “Drawn to Fashion: the Illustrations of Mary Mitchell,” an exhibition formed from the never-before-seen collection of one of Omaha’s premiere fashion illustrators.

When: 6:30 to 8 p.m.
