Another hot one

You obviously don’t need the campus newsletter to tell you it’s hot out there.

Employees are urged to take some simple steps to help keep the pressure off the campus cooling system during this week’s heat spell.
But as the mercury rises into the high 90s today, employees are reminded to take the following steps to keep the load off the campus cooling system:
  • Close shades, blinds and curtains whenever possible to reduce solar heat gain;
  • Lower lighting levels where possible and turn off lights in unoccupied areas; and
  • Turn off and unplug all electrical equipment not in use (computers, coffee makers, printers, chargers, etc.), especially in offices.
