Dr. Oberley-Deegan named an SfRBM Fellow
Rebecca Oberley-Deegan, PhD, associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, was named a 2022 Fellow inductee of the Society for Redox Biology and Medicine. Fellows were chosen for “their outstanding contributions to the association as well as the field of redox biology, free radical chemistry and antioxidants,” according to the society.

UNMC faculty among honorees at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center
UNMC’s clinical partner Children’s Hospital & Medical Center held its inaugural Endowed Chair Investiture Ceremony on Sept 21. Children’s President and CEO Chanda Chacón hosted the event, where several UNMC faculty who work at Children’s were recognized.

Dean Britigan nets Honorary Alumnus Award
Bradley Britigan, MD, Stokes-Shackleford Professor and dean of the UNMC College of Medicine, was named recipient of the 2022 College of Medicine Alumni Council’s Honorary Alumnus Award.
