As part of the Library Dean Comprehensive Review Committee’s work, UNMC will host Emily Glenn, interim dean of the McGoogan Health Sciences Library, on May 15 for stakeholder interviews and a campus presentation.

The committee is tasked with evaluating Glenn for the permanent role. She has served as the library’s interim dean since September 2022.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to hear from Glenn during a campus forum on May 15. The forum will run from 11 to 11:45 a.m. CT in Wittson Hall, Room 6032, and be available via Zoom. Attendees can access the Zoom link via this intranet page and ask questions during the forum. The link will be added on the day of the presentation.

Glenn started at UNMC in 2016 as education and research services librarian before becoming associate dean in 2020. She previously worked for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine out of the University of Washington; as chief librarian at the St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College; and as chief librarian at Tulane University’s Technical Assistance Program for Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She has received numerous honors and awards for her leadership, publications and innovation at UNMC.

The campus community is invited to the campus intranet page to provide feedback on Glenn’s presentation via a confidential survey form by May 19.
