In the summer heat, UNeMed and the UNMC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research offered UNMC researchers, faculty, staff and students a chance to chill out. The “Summer Chill” was held July 26 outside, with a Kona Ice truck offering shaved ice. Participants could play yard games, listen to music and just connect. Organizers hoped to give people a chance to meet, forge new connections and maybe give a start to a future collaboration.

The event was held outside the Durham Research Center towers.
The participants, of course, stuck close to the shade.

This was a wonderful event for the VCR office and UNeMed to support. Thank you for doing this. It was great to see everyone out of their offices and outside. Good to see people face to face and not on a screen.
