A crane will be loading roofing materials today onto the Hixon Lied Center (Aug. 23). During those times, the crane, dumpsters and other materials will result in a partial lane blockage on 44th Street, just north of Dewey Avenue.
Access to the Nebraska Medical Center Emergency Department will not be affected.
The construction crew will work closely with emergency department staff to make sure operation of the crane does not impact ambulances or other vehicles using the emergency entrance.
The roofing project began last fall and is anticipated to complete this fall.
