Two longstanding faculty members and leaders in the UNMC College of Nursing will be honored at a retirement reception Jan. 8.

Kathryn Fiandt, PhD, and Louise LaFramboise, PhD, are retiring from UNMC, and the med center community is invited to attend their retirement reception.

Dr. Fiandt, PhD, is the Kenneth E. Morehead Endowed Chair in Nursing, a clinical professor and associate dean of transformational practice and partnership in the college. She started at UNMC in 1993 and later left for seven years before returning in 2014 as associate dean.

Dr. LaFramboise is an associate professor and assistant dean of the UNMC College of Nursing-Omaha Division. She joined the UNMC faculty in 1986.

Together, Drs. Fiandt and LaFramboise have served the UNMC College of Nursing community for more than 60 years.

The reception will be from 4:30-6 p.m. CT on the Omaha campus in the Sorrell Center’s Truhlsen Events Center. Public remarks will begin at 5 p.m.
