How I fell in love with infectious diseases: I fell in love with infectious diseases for many reasons, but one of my favorite aspects is how well we get to know our patients and the very in-depth histories we are privileged to take. You never know when asking about recent contact with reptiles or a patient’s lifetime travel history can actually be relevant to the underlying diagnosis.

Education:

  • Medical degree, Emory University School of Medicine, 2018
  • Residency in internal medicine, University of California School San Francisco School of Medicine, 2021
  • Fellowship in infectious diseases, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, 2023

Memberships:

  • Infectious Diseases Society of America
  • American Medical Association

Three things people may not know about me:

  • I love to bake.
  • I was a double language and culture major in college.
  • I have lived in most other parts of the country, but this will be my first time living in the Midwest.
