Dr. Alexandra Bilunas joins the College of Dentistry

Alexandra Bilunas, DDS, Assistant Professor

We are thrilled to welcome Alexandra Bilunas, DDS, an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry in the Department of Growth & Development, to the College of Dentistry.

Dr. Bilunas was born and raised in Omaha. She received her BS in biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her DDS from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed her pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Florida before moving to the suburbs of Chicago to work in private practice.

“I fell in love with dentistry because of the ability to change someone’s quality of life,” she said. “I have returned home to Omaha and look forward to treating families in my community.”

Fun facts about Dr. Bilunas:

– I competed at the 2016 Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha.
– I have an identical twin sister.
– My bucket list travel destinations are Lithuania and an African cruise or tour to see multiple countries on the continent.
– Both of my parents are graduates of Creighton University, my sister is attending the University of Nebraska, and I am a University of Nebraska graduate. Needless to say, there is friendly competition in our house during every Nebraska vs. Creighton sporting event.
