UNMC’s Fostering the Future student organization is holding its third annual health and hygiene drive from today (March 3) through March 21.
The organization will collect essential health and hygiene products, such as toiletries, diapers and baby wipes, along with snack items, to create donation baskets for new parents. The baskets will be distributed to Omaha’s foster youth community via local partner organization Project Everlast.
Suggested donation items include:
- Toothpaste and mouthwash
- Shampoo
- Deodorant
- Diapers and baby wipes
- Bottles
- Pacifiers
- Crackers
- Nuts
- Dried fruit
- Granola bars
Donation bins will be located at:
- Sorrell Center, Room 2017B
- UNMC Center for Nursing Science, third floor atrium
- UNMC Maurer Center for Public Health, second floor commons
