UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to join Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, on Monday, Nov. 10, for this month’s all-campus forum.
Dr. Davies will be joined by Ken Bayles, PhD, vice chancellor for research, to discuss plans for a new UNMC Office of Industry Engagement to strengthen UNMC’s connections to private industry and grow research dollars.
November’s all-campus forum will be from noon to 12:50 p.m. in Bennett Hall, Room 2020, on the Omaha campus. The forum also will be available via Zoom; the link can be found on the campus intranet.
During the forum, Dr. Bayles will discuss the strategic vision behind creating the UNMC Office of Industry Engagement and how, under a new director of strategic partnerships for UNMC, the office will create a more coordinated approach to interacting with the biomedical research industry.
Forum attendees also will hear updates on topics ranging from university benefits to UNMC’s academic expansion to Kearney to budgetary matters, including potential university-related impacts of the federal government shutdown.
