Twelve teams were recently announced as the latest cohort of UNMC’s highly competitive E-Learning Funded Awards Program. Selected through a rigorous application process, this year’s cohort includes 70 UNMC faculty, students, residents and staff representing four campuses and all colleges, along with McGoogan Health Sciences Library and the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
The projects will receive funding from the UNMC vice chancellor for academic affairs to create dynamic, interactive modules that enhance UNMC curriculum, scholarship and clinical training.
“This year marks our 15th cohort of elevating digital learning,” said Peggy Moore, director of interactive e-learning and an assistant professor in the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions. “Our funded program offers a unique opportunity for students and faculty to work together, alongside our team of skilled instructional designers and technologists, to develop meaningful, effective materials designed to meet the needs of today’s learners.”
“The E-Learning Funded Awards Program sparks innovation and inspires creativity across campuses,” said Jane Meza, PhD, interim vice chancellor for academic affairs. “Through this collaboration, faculty and students are shaping new approaches to learning and building a future-ready health and science workforce.”
The new awardees join more than 800 individuals who have participated in the program and created more than 300 e-modules, many available on the UNMC E-Gallery.
Teams will demonstrate their new modules at the e-learning showcase in April. Learn more at the e-learning webpage or email the e-learning team.
