UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to join H. Dele Davies, MD, on Tuesday, July 7, for his first forum as permanent chancellor.
Dr. Davies, whose tenure as UNMC’s ninth chancellor began July 1, will be joined by guests Joann Sweasy, PhD, director of the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases and the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, and Paula Kohles, director of the UNMC Office of Financial Aid.
The all-campus forum will take place from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the Sorrell Center, Room 2014, on the Omaha campus. The forum also will be available via Zoom; the link can be found on the campus intranet.
Dr. Sweasy will discuss cancer screening and preventive practices in Nebraska. Kohles will discuss private loan options for students, including the Premier Graduate Loan program, which helps eligible healthcare students finance advanced degrees with specialized rates, terms and features. Dr. Davies also will provide general updates on other UNMC-related topics.
