Dr. Bash named assistant dean for faculty analytics and standards

Kirstie Bash, PhD, has been appointed assistant dean for faculty analytics and standards in the UNMC College of Medicine.

She will provide strategic leadership in faculty-related data, analytics and standards to support decision-making and programming related to faculty affairs and advancement across the college, said Nada Fadul, MD, senior associate dean for faculty affairs at the college.

She will operate and collaborate with systems such as faculty information systems, annual review reporting, faculty appointment and promotion data, workload and teaching effort and faculty lifecycle metrics, including recruitment, retention, promotion and tenure indicators.

“I am very excited to have Dr. Bash in this role,” Dr. Fadul said. “She brings extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research, as well as a track record of enhancing UNMC College of Medicine educational assessments, which will position her well for success in this role.”

Dr. Bash said she was honored to take on the role and grateful to UNMC College of Medicine Dean Bradley Britigan, MD, Dr. Fadul and the Office of Faculty Affairs for their trust.

“Faculty data should tell a story about the people behind it – their goals, their growth, their contributions, their careers,” Dr. Bash said. “I’m excited to help build systems that support that story more clearly.”
