The College of Medicine Surgery Interest Group is hosting a free showing of the film “Code Black” at 5 p.m. today in the Sorrell Center, Room 3001, for all students, residents, faculty, and staff.
“Code Black” follows the staff of Los Angeles County Hospital’s emergency department as they work to save a variety of patients while also learning to reconcile their ideals with the realities of working within the U.S. health care system.
Following the film, there will be a panel discussion featuring UNMC/Nebraska Medicine representatives from emergency medicine, trauma surgery, nursing and pastoral care.
