The LiveWell Challenge is an event-centric program. Events are defined as requiring exertion, such as a 5K run/walk. Participation is tracked in qualified events and participants are rewarded for completing at least four events. Upgraded awards are available for completion of seven (silver medal) and 10 (gold medal) events.

As a registered company, UNMC is eligible for corporate awards. These corporate awards will be provided based on the number of events completed by our employees and their family members. Registration for the LiveWell Challenge is easy and free. When registering, please be sure to include UNMC in the company field and you will be tracked as part of our corporate account.

“The challenge is an event that provides a reason to be active in 2016,” said Jayme Nekuda, associate director of human resources. “Many of the area’s largest events are part of the event calendar, so the UNMC community can take part in some of the state’s most fun and most well-run events, with opportunities to support a cause and socialize. The Live Well Challenge is really an invitation — to get out, get fit and have fun.”

Once registered, eligible events can be viewed on the LiveWell Calendar. Follow the links for the events that you have interest in to find more information and register. Once the event has been completed, LiveWell Officials will receive the results and update the individual and corporate leaderboards weekly.

Events and activities on the calendar that already have been completed prior to registration, such as the Lincoln Marathon or half-marathon, can still be counted when participants register.
