Wellness webpage will be a campus resource

Jennifer Yalof, Psy.D., the director of UNMC Behavioral Health Wellness Education, is part of a team creating a webpage that will house a list of all campus wellness activities.

The team is seeking information from anyone overseeing a wellness program on a UNMC campus.

“Wellness is a priority at UNMC, and there are many great programs to assist our students, faculty and staff,” Dr. Yalof said. “If you are the head of a wellness activity on a UNMC campus, I’d love to hear from you.”

The webpage will be a comprehensive list of wellness programs and activities, allowing the entire UNMC community to learn about programs occurring at each college and in different departments.

“For our purposes, a ‘wellness activity’ is being broadly defined as anything related to physical, social and emotional well-being,” Dr. Yalof said.

“We are collecting data and trying to organize it so that all wellness information, regardless of who it is for, can be easily accessed in a centralized location,” said Jayme Nekuda, associate director of human resources. “Dr. Yalof has been compiling information, and we’re excited about this new campus resource. Many departments may have unique programs or initiatives that have something to offer to the wider campus community as well.”

The webpage is scheduled to go live in the fall.
