Program at UNMC: Health Professional Program Doctor of Dental Surgery

Why you chose UNMC: I knew UNMC from one of my friends two years ago because it has the first DDS program recruiting Chinese students with CSC funding. It’s really attractive and my dream is to become a dentist. The program provides many interesting and useful courses and in-the-lab training, so I could get standard training and learn many advanced practical skills. UNMC is located in a peaceful and quiet city. I am tired of the noise and crowds in my current city and such an environment [in Nebraska] could make me relaxed.

What your career goals are and how you got interested in them: Actually, my dream is to become a dentist due to my inspiration to communicate with other people and cure their diseases. I enjoy helping them, giving them specific guidance and relieving their pains. Learning new knowledge and skills is definitely a new beginning and I could experience a new culture and medical system. More knowledge, and more friends lead to more happiness. I want all people around me to get positive energy.
