Register for Thursday’s Gritty City trolley tour

Registration remains open for Thursday’s Durham Museum “Gritty City” trolley tour.

The one-hour tour, which begins at 5:30 p.m. outside the Durham Research Center, will travel to downtown Omaha and point out such historic locations as the former site of Madame Anna Wilson’s home, The Brandeis Building and the Paxton Hotel, all the while highlighting the impact of noted individuals and events in Omaha’s sometimes turbulent history.

Seating is limited to 20 people and reservations must be made in advance. All students and staff of UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians may attend.

Please contact Kacie Gerard at kgerard@unmc.edu to reserve your space. A $5 cash payment will be collected at the time of the tour prior to boarding the trolley.

“The Gritty City” tour is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students, and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
