Phyllis Robinson
  • Name: Phyllis Robinson
  • Hometown: Omaha
  • Number of years at UNMC: 19

What is your best memory from your time at UNMC? To see how the campus has grown by leaps and bounds. My son was born here over 30 years ago and the campus has really changed over that time. Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC. The brand value that comes to mind is working together. While our Center for Reducing Health Disparities staff works with campus and community partners, I have great memories of our team's work with the Marines' Toys for Tots Program. With the economy in such turmoil, some parents were not sure they would have presents for their children. However, we were able to provide toys to 22 very grateful families. List three things people may not know about you.

  • I have a grandson that attends Benson High School
  • Proud parent of two, 3-month-old puppies, Buck and Preacher.
  • I have been a bartender for more than 25 years, serving in the homes of Warren Buffett, Hal Daub and Jim Suttle.

This is a great way for us "COPHers" to get to know the people who are in our building, who we see everyday but have little or not time to get to know. I enjoyed reading about Phyllis who I only see occasionally but who is very friendly and has a ready smile each time I see her. Also, I see we have things in common….grandsons and dogs!
