Members of the UNMC community can experience the next wave of digital education at the 2026 Innovators in Education E-Learning Showcase on Thursday, April 16. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center.
This year’s showcase highlights the latest cohort of projects funded through the UNMC Office of Interactive E-Learning and UNMC Academic Affairs. It features 70 UNMC faculty, students, residents and staff developers representing four campuses and all colleges, along with the McGoogan Health Sciences Library and the Munroe-Meyer Institute. In addition to the popular in-person demos, the 2026 event will include virtual demonstrations streamed live via webinar.
The event is open to all UNMC students, faculty and staff. Attendees are invited to network with developers and see the projects in action. A keynote presentation, “Under (Portal) Pressure: E-Learning and Hepatology,” by Faruq Pradham, MBBCh, Marissa Baker and Taylor Pitzl of the UNMC College of Medicine will follow the live demonstrations, along with a recognition ceremony.
“As the program continues to advance, we are proud to recognize the exemplary work of our innovators,” said Peggy Moore, director of UNMC Interactive E-Learning and assistant professor in the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions. “This year, we are pleased to introduce a live webinar component, enabling us to extend the showcase experience to all UNMC campuses across the state.”
The schedule for the showcase is:
- 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CDT: Demonstrations of all e-learning projects and virtual live webinar.
- 1-2 p.m. CDT: Recognition ceremony and keynote presentation.
