How I fell in love with medicine and my specialty: I fell in love with endocrinology because of the complexity and interconnectedness of hormonal systems — how small imbalances can have profound effects on nearly every aspect of a patient’s health. During my training, I was drawn to the challenge of solving diagnostic puzzles while also building long-term relationships with patients managing chronic conditions like diabetes.
Three things people may not know about me:
- I like taking on endurance challenges, including running and staying physically active.
- I enjoy trying different cuisines and learning about cultures through food.
- I’m always curious about innovations, especially in healthcare and technology.
Clinical location: Diabetes and Endocrinology Center at Specialty Services Pavilion and Omaha VA.
