A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler Funeral Chapel, 7805 W. Center Road for Walter Friedlander, M.D., a legendary UNMC faculty member who started both the neurology program and the medical jurisprudence and humanities program.

UNMC students receive scholarship awards for nursing, research
Twenty-five University of Nebraska Medical Center nursing students, and graduate students studying cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, recently were honored with scholarships from Norman Harris, an Omaha native who lives in San Diego.
