Participants got hands-on laboratory experience in the Physiology Lab of Bryan Hackfort, PhD, faculty member in the UNMC Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology. With guidance from Dr. Hackfort and members of his lab, the group examined a sheep heart and eye, created a DNA sample and explored heart rate and the diving reflex.
