Daylight Savings reminder
Yesterday was the first day of Daylight Savings Time. Please double check your calendar entries and verify they are correct. While ITS has installed numerous “patches” to correct calendaring problems associated with the time change, it is still possible that calendar entries may appear one hour off, especially if your computer’s clock settings are not checked to “Automatically Adjust for Daylight Savings Time.”

Sunday bridal show to benefit Eppley Cancer Center
Future brides and others can simultaneously check out the latest in wedding fashion and support UNMC’s Eppley Cancer Center at the “Suite of Dreams Bridal Boutique and Fashion Show” on Sunday. A bonus feature of the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in the Old Market, is that Eppley Institute professor Robert Lewis, Ph.D., will serve as a model in the fashion show.

Dr. Pratt named NU executive vice president and provost
LINCOLN — University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken has named Dr. Linda Pratt as executive vice president and provost for the university. Dr. Pratt has served as interim executive vice president and provost since July of 2006, and will officially take on the permanent appointment on Friday, subject to the approval of the Board of Regents.

‘Walk and Roll for Disabilities’ raises record $30,000
More than 450 registered participants and more than $30,000 raised. Both numbers were records realized at the 3rd annual Munroe-Meyer Institute and the C. Louis Meyer Foundation “Walk & Roll for Disabilities,” held in February at the Westroads Mall.
