Programs impacting your district

  • UNMC’s Rural Training Track is a program developed by the Department of Family Medicine that prepares residents to practice in rural areas. Established in 1992, the program is now the largest in the nation.

  • Through the TeamSTEPPS program, professionals from the College of Allied Health Professions implement and evaluate the effect of teamwork training on the safety culture of 63 Nebraska hospitals, including hospitals in your district.

  • CAPTURE Falls is a project sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to assist 35 rural hospitals in creating an action plan to reduce the risk of patient falls.

  • When COVID-19 halted in-person training, Simulation in Motion-Nebraska (SIM-NE) parked its trucks and high-fidelity human patient simulators and moved online, training 76 volunteer EMTs and health providers in your district.
