OneNote Basics, Excel Charts and InDesign training this week

A series of training sessions this week are designed to help UNMC staff and faculty maximize the programs available on their computers.

What: Microsoft OneNote
When: 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, April 22
Where: Wittson Hall, Room 8011
Learn how to manage projects and tasks with colleagues using Microsoft OneNote, which comes with Microsoft Office. Include web page information, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, miscellaneous notes, graphics, drawings and integrate with Outlook.

What: Beyond the Basics of InDesign
When: 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 25
Where: Wittson Hall, Room 8011
A few spots remain in this session. Eric White from Printing Services will give a hands-on session discussing links, tables and styles, as well as how to avoid some common design problems when buiilding files for print. Basic InDesign skills required.

What: Excel Charts
When: 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 25
Where: Wittson Hall, Room 8011
Learn how to create a variety of graphs and charts from your data that can be used in Excel workbooks, PowerPoint presentations and posters and Word documents. You’ll learn what types of charts to avoid and many other tips to make your charts clear and credible. Basic use of Excel is recommended. This session was rescheduled from March.

    Will you be doing any more OneNote Sessions? I have just started using this software and would love to learn more about it!
