Why is research important in the world today?
To understand the cause of disease progression, identify novel targets and develop targeted therapeutics to improve patients’ survival and quality of life.
My research will make a difference because:
Pancreatic cancer is a highly lethal disease. Chemotherapies remain the mainstay for advanced-stage pancreatic cancer; they produce incomplete responses and high toxicities. Thus, our research seeks to understand the molecular basis of disease progression and develop new tumor glycobiology-based targeted therapy for pancreatic cancer.
The best advice I’ve ever received is:
Be persistent and hardworking

- I recently learned to cook some tasty foods that my family loves.
- I enjoy writing Tamil poetry.
