Memorial services for the spouse of a longtime UNMC administrator will be Saturday.
J. Thomas Yeaworth, husband of former UNMC College of Nursing Dean Rosalee Yeaworth, died Wednesday. A graveside service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park and will be followed by an 11 a.m. church service at Dundee Presbyterian Church.
Visitation is scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center Street, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dundee Presbyterian Church.
Rosalee Yeaworth was dean of the UNMC College of Nursing from 1979 to 1994, and continued to teach in the college for several years after that. Last year, she was awarded the J.G. “Jack” Elliot Award, given annually to a Nebraska resident who has made significant contributions to medicine and health programs for the state and for UNMC.
