UNMC and NHS faculty, employees and students are invited to a tailgate party today to celebrate the opening of the new employee parking structure.
The tailgateparty is scheduled to take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., on the top level of the new structure, called Lot 50, at the southeast corner of 45th and Emile streets. If it rains, the celebration will be moved to Level B.
A program at 2 p.m. will honor donors Chuck Durham, John Wilson and Fred Petersen. UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer will offer remarks during the program.
Cookies, ice cream and beverages will be provided, a deejay will play music and door prizes will be awarded.
