The UNMC Winter Activity Decathlon rolls on this week with a group ice skate Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the UNMC ice rink.
Decathlon participants who present their official pamphlet/passports between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. can skate for free (a $3 skate rental fee is still in place, if applicable).
There’s still time to register online by Feb. 25 in order to be eligible for a cool long-sleeve T-shirt, and to take advantage of classes and other amenities at the Center for Healthy Living during the decathlon.
The 10-week challenge is for UNMC employees, and is designed to increase activity and show us the activity options that are available on campus. Participants can choose from easy, moderate and difficult activities, or develop their own activities.
Each week also includes a group activity – like Tuesday’s skate – if you’re more comfortable exercising among friends. And those activities count toward the T-shirt, too.
