Words such as extraordinary and vital are often used to describe med center employees. Now “proud” can be added to that list.
Last month, employeees of UNMC and The Nebraska Medical Center expressed their pride by contributing more than $315,000 through the I’m Proud To Play A Part campaign. And that number will continue to rise as final campaign results are compiled.

A special thanks to all employees for their generous support of the new Ambulatory Care Center and Cancer Center Campus. These facilities will forever change how health care is delivered on the campuses.
If you haven’t participated and would like to, here’s how:
- Make a gift online at the foundation’s website. The web page will be available through April 30.
- Purchase a $10 T-shirt by contacting: Randall Hallett, executive director of development with The Nebraska Medical Center (402-559-3040 or rhallett@nebraskamed.com) or Tom Thompson, senior director of development with the University of Nebraska Foundation (402-502-4116 or tthompson@nufoundation.org).
Final Prize Drawing
The final prize drawing will be April 2. All persons making a gift online or with a returned contribution card are automatically entered into the prize drawings. Prizes include restaurant, retail and specialty services gift certificates ranging from $25 to $50.
Employees making a minimum gift of $10 per month for one year or a $120 gift are also eligible for the final top prize drawing – a Barnes and Noble Nook HD+ with 32 GB (value $299).
Congratulations to Ken Hansen of UNMC, who won the third week’s top prize: a Kindle Fire.
Only persons making a gift online or with a contribution card or those who opt out by going to nufoundation.org/proudtoplayapart are eligible for the weekly drawing.
All employees of the above entities (collectively “Employees”) making gifts to the “I’m Proud To Play A Part Fund” will be automatically registered and eligible for applicable prize drawings described herein. Employees may also be eligible for applicable prize drawings with no gift necessary, and automatically registered employees may opt not to participate in prize drawings, by contacting abougger@nufoundation.org.
