We have heard how exercise can help us in the fight against high blood pressure, heart disease, weight gain, etc., but what about our brain? Can exercise protect our brain against dementia, mood disorders and stress?

Join us at the next Olson Brown Bag from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, in the UNMC Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater.

Physical therapist Adrienne Connor of The Nebraska Medical Center will discuss how the brain reacts to exercise and what types of exercise are most effective for the brain.

Seating is limited; please preregister by calling the Olson Center at 559-6345.

Bring your lunch. Simple refreshments will be provided.

Olson Center Brown Bag lectures are free. However, nursing credit is available for a cost of $10. Payment instructions will be given when you preregister.

The UNMC College of Nursing Continuing Nursing Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This activity is provided for 1.0 contact hour under ANCC criteria.
