The visible phase of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center construction work will begin Monday.
The skywalk between Swanson Hall and the Durham Research Center will close, as will the Level One connection between Swanson Hall and The Durham Outpatient Center and the tunnel between Swanson Hall and the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
The Plaza sidewalk from the Durham Outpatient Center and the Durham Research Center will remain open as needed for staff and students.
There will be barricades installed that will identify the construction site and will affect both Dewey Avenue and 45th Street. These will limit vehicle traffic to areas of single direction only with flagmen directing traffic during those times. Employees are encouraged to avoid travel on those streets as much as possible.
