The UNMC community is invited to a ribbon-cutting celebrating the naming of the Mary and Dick Holland Regenerative Medicine Program on Thursday.

UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D. will speak at the Maurer Commons prior to the ribbon cutting. He will be joined by Nora Sarvetnick, Ph.D., director of the regenerative medicine program; UNMC supporter Mike Yanney; John Niemann, Ed.D., senior vice president of the University of Nebraska Foundation; and Dick Holland himself.

“Mr. Holland’s commitment to the regenerative medicine program and to UNMC as a whole has been unwavering,” said UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D. “We are pleased to recognize him by adding his name, as well as his late wife Mary’s, to this program which he has steadfastly supported.”

The ribbon cutting will be held on the sixth floor of the Durham Research Center II, which will officially be named the Mary and Dick Holland Regenerative Medicine Program.

The event will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 25. Refreshments will be served.
