“The Essential Guide for New Faculty Success,” UNMC’s annual new faculty orientation event, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education.
This event aims to position new faculty for the best possible career outcomes. It is highly recommended for faculty employed less than three years at UNMC.
The seminar allows new faculty to:
- Learn about key campus units and resources that support faculty effectiveness.
- Meet faculty from all colleges and develop an organizational network.
- Interact with campus deans and university leaders to gain insight into UNMC’s vision and possible roles.
- Begin to chart a career path with promotion and tenure guidance and relationship building.
