This week, the Omaha Community Playhouse is premiering its production of “Sirens.” The playhouse has given UNMC Today two sets of two tickets to give away to members of the UNMC community. See box at right.

For information on purchasing tickets to the show, go to the Omaha Community Playhouse website.

On its website, the playhouse describes the play as a comedy for mature audiences. The synopsis:

Sam, a one-hit-wonder songwriter, has been married to his original muse, Rose, for 25 years. But lately, Sam’s obsessive hunt for his next hit song has smoldered their romantic spark.

On their anniversary cruise, Sam jumps overboard when he is lured by the most incredible song coming from the sea. While washed ashore, he encounters a video Solitaire-playing Siren who has stepped out of Greek mythology and into modern times. She helps him remember why Rose is, and always has been, the love of his life.

Find out if Sam and Rose can find each other again in a sea of technology and past loves in this quirky story full of witty banter and fun.
