On Tuesday, Mike Kelly (in the white hat) and Brian Chollett of ASI Modulex installed a new sign outside the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Durham Outpatient Center. The sign reflects the current university logo.

The outpatient center has been open since 1993. The five-level building includes 266,500 square feet and serves as the primary entrance to the medical center. The facility includes six operating rooms, outpatient clinics for all the various UNMC programs, a diagnostic center, a gift shop and a loading dock.

In 1998, Charles and Margre Durham established a permanent endowment fund at the University of Nebraska Foundation to support innovative education and research programs in the UNMC College of Medicine in three key areas — arthritis, prostate and breast cancer, and minimally invasive surgery. In recognition of the gift, the Outpatient Care Center was renamed the Durham Outpatient Center.
