SAP employee self-service available this fall

Employee Self-Service through SAP will be available this fall for all benefits-eligible employees. SAP ESS is a new Web application, which allows employees to interact with their own SAP data, such as pay advices and current benefits options. It is convenient and a secure method for employees to get information without the hassle of forms or lines.

SAP ESS will be available 24 hours a day, with the exception of weekly SAP maintenance. This will usually occur on Sundays from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. To access the site, employees will need their SAP ESS ID and password.

  • If you are a current SAP user your SAP ID and password will be the same to access both SAP and SAP ESS. For current SAP users, only your SAP ID will be printed on your pay advice through December.
  • If you are a new user your SAP ESS ID and initial password will be printed on your pay advice through December.

SAP ESS will provide the following options:

  • Display Current Benefit Options
  • Display FSA Claims
  • Display Pay Advice
  • Display or Change Address
  • Display Bank Information
  • Display Family Members/Dependants
  • Display W4 Information

This is just the beginning. Additional options will be developed based on user feedback. SAP ESS is not limited to HR and Benefits interactions, so options could be developed for other areas such as Finance and Procurement. Possible future enhancements include an employee directory and an online W4 entry form.
