UNMC policy, procedure update

To coordinate distribution of UNMC policies in the most cost effective manner, hardcopies of UNMC policies and/or policy manuals will no longer be issued. All UNMC policies, either in draft revision or final form, are available on the UNMC Policy Homepage.

To ensure that UNMC workforce is consulting the most current UNMC policies, all existing UNMC Policy Manuals should be returned to Dorothy Panowicz, Budget, Analysis and Financial Compliance, ZIP 5080, by Sept. 30. Workforce without computer access should request any required policy information from their supervisor or from Nancy Ellen, policy and procedure coordinator.

Draft policies at UNMC are submitted to the Policy and Procedure Coordinator, who manages the process of review, approval and distribution of approved policies. Draft policies are distributed to the Policy Review Committee for comments and questions before final approval and signature by the vice chancellor for business and finance. Once signed into effect, new or revised policies will be announced via e-mail and in the UNMC Today.
