The UNMC Bookstore will offer a holiday sale, beginning this week and running through Dec. 24. The sale will feature 30 percent off of all clothing and gift items, excluding lab coats, uniforms, clearance items and electronics.

Gary Yee, Pharm.D.

Gary Yee, Pharm.D., associate dean for academic affairs and professor in the College of Pharmacy, was inducted as president of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) at its annual meeting in Albuquerque, N.M., last month. ACCP is a professional and scientific organization focused on advancing clinical pharmacy practice and research. Dr. Yee served this past year as president-elect and will serve as president for the 2013-14 year.

Clinical Laboratory Science students Krystal Davis and Amanda Stastny will present their poster, “An Interprofessional Guide to Laboratory Testing for Student-Run Free Clinics,” at the Society of Student-Run Free Clinics’ national conference Feb. 1. The annual conference is a platform for students of all health care professions involved in student-run free clinics to present their clinic models and best practice, providing the opportunity to learn from each other and improve patient care. Advisor Ricki Otten will accompany them to the conference.
