Finalists for College of Dentistry dean position to visit campus

Three candidates for the position of dean of the UNMC College of Dentistry will visit both the Omaha and Lincoln campuses in December.


Dr. Charles Shuler	Dr. Janet Guthmiller

Charles Shuler, D.M.D., Ph.D., will be on the Omaha campus this Monday, Dec. 9, and at the College of Dentistry in Lincoln on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Dr. Shuler is dean, faculty of dentistry, and professor at the University of British Columbia.

Janet Guthmiller, D.D.S., Ph.D., will be on the Omaha campus on Wednesday, Dec. 11, and at the College of Dentistry in Lincoln on Thursday, Dec. 12.

Dr. Guthmiller is associate dean, academic affairs, and professor in the department of periodontology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry.

Dr. Scott De Rossi

Scott De Rossi, D.M.D., will be at the College of Dentistry in Lincoln on Tuesday, Dec. 17, and on the Omaha campus on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Dr. De Rossi is professor and chair, department of oral health and diagnostic sciences at Georgia Regents University College of Dental Medicine.

There are no public presentations scheduled for the candidates’ visits.

John Reinhardt, D.D.S., who has served as dean of the UNMC College of Dentistry for 13 years, announced in June that he will step down from his post on June 30, 2014.
