January Olson Center brown bag: ‘A New Year – A New You’

Which popular diet can jump start your New Year’s resolution to lose weight?

For January’s Brown Bag presentation, the Olson Center is hosting a discussion of four popular weight-loss diets in order to help people decipher which one will work best for them to jump start a healthy eating plan for the new year.

Nessie Ferguson, medical nutrition therapist specialist with the Bariatrics Center, will discuss: the Paleo “Caveman” Diet; Low Carb Diet; Mediterranean Diet; and the Clean Eating Diet at the next Brown Bag on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from noon to 1 p.m. in the UNMC Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater.

Seating is limited; please pre-register by calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345. Bring your lunch. Simple refreshments will be provided.

The lectures are free. However, to obtain nursing credit, the cost is $10. Payment instructions will be given when you pre-register.
