Jeff Corwin tickets available Feb. 22

“Animal Planet” host and leading conservationist Jeff Corwin will headline the 2014 Nebraska Science Festival on April 25 at Joslyn Museum’s Witherspoon Concert Hall in Omaha.

His 7:30 p.m. presentation is free to the public (but requires a reserved ticket) and is suitable for ages 12 and older. Tickets for the general admission seating to Corwin’s presentation will be released on Feb. 22 on a first-come, first-served basis.

To obtain your tickets (a maximum of two per person), stop by the Joslyn Museum between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If necessary, any remaining tickets will be distributed Saturday, March 1 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the museum.

Although the presentation is free, tickets are required for admittance when doors open April 25 at 7 p.m.

An Emmy-winning television host, author and biologist, Corwin has worked for the conservation of endangered species and ecosystems around the globe. Through education and awareness, he believes these vital elements of our planet can be conserved for future generations.

For nearly 20 years, Corwin has produced and hosted a variety of popular television series broadcast on networks like Disney Channel, Discovery Channel, NBC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel and the Food Network. Presently, he is executive producer and host of the award-winning weekly series, “Ocean Mysteries,” airing weekends on ABC stations nationally.

Presented by UNMC, the Nebraska Science Festival is a collaboration of organizations and individuals interested in the advancement of science literacy. The Science Festival is designed to make science accessible, interactive, relevant and fun for kids and adults alike.
