The nomination deadline for the UNMC Faculty Senate’s annual awards is quickly approaching.
The Faculty Senate recognizes faculty for meritorious teaching, service or mentoring at its annual meeting, which this year will be on April 24.
Nominations must be emailed no later than Friday, March 14 for consideration of the following awards:
- Outstanding Teacher Award.
- Spirit of Community Service Award.
- Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Graduate Students Award.
- Faculty Mentor of Junior Faculty.
Persons holding faculty appointments at UNMC are eligible to be nominated for these awards. Students and faculty may submit nominations for the first three awards, but only junior faculty may nominate for the Outstanding Mentor of Junior Faculty Award.

Nominations must be emailed no later than Friday, March 14, in pdf format to the Honorary Degrees & Awards Committee, c/o Office of the Faculty Senate.
The awards will be presented at the Annual Faculty Meeting on April 24.
