On April 22, UNMC will hold a campus blood drive from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Student Life Center in the Center for Healthy Living.

The goal for the drive is 58 units of blood, and as of today, there were 31 donors already scheduled, with 48 appointments still available.
Every blood donation is an opportunity to help someone in need. Giving blood really does help save lives. Despite the fact that giving blood is easy, safe, and takes about 75 minutes, only 5 percent of eligible Americans donate blood. It is too easy to rationalize that someone else will fill the need.
