Culture Fest — the annual celebration of food, fun and exhibits which represent the diversity of UNMC and its employees — will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the Sorrell Center’s Truhlsen Campus Events Center.
Culture Fest celebrates the culture and diversity on the UNMC campus, featuring ethnic foods from several local vendors, local exhibits, live entertainment and prizes.
Entertainment at the event will feature music and dancing from Charles Ahovissi at the African Culture Connection and Sabor Latino Experience. Artist Chizuko Takechi will be teaching Japanese origami. There also will be a photo booth. Food at the event will include traditional dishes from Peru, El Salvador, Japan, Morocco and Greece.
