Paul Kawacz, UNMC’s Video Services, and Liz Kumru, UNMC public affairs, receive PRSA awards for their video productions.

UNMC recently received three Paper Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Nebraska Chapter. The Paper Anvil program annually recognizes outstanding work in the field of public relations.

Lenal Bottoms, UNMC alumni affairs, receives the PRSA Chapter Award.

Lenal Bottoms, UNMC alumni affairs, received the 2003 PRSA Nebraska Chapter Service Award. The award recognizes a chapter member who, through his or her service to the organization, has provided leadership, exceeded the expectations of his or her responsibility, or in some significant way, assisted in strengthening the chapter during the year. Bottoms received the award for her contributions to last year’s holiday gala and this year’s wine tasting event and for assuming a leadership role to fill a void on the PRSA Board.

Scholarship
Bill O’Neill, UNMC public affairs, was awarded the James W. Leuschen Fellowship, which is given to a member who is furthering his or her education. O’Neill is pursuing a master of arts degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
