Science and Technology Advisory Committee recruiting members

Thomas Rosenquist, Ph.D., vice chancellor for research at UNMC, and Leonard Agneta, J.D., director of the UNMC Intellectual Office and UNMC patent administrator, are recruiting UNMC faculty members and administrators to be members of the UNMC Science and Technology Advisory Committee (STAC).

STAC has been formed in response to a new Patent and Technology Transfer Policy, approved by the Board of Regents at its October meeting. STAC will meet monthly to review new inventions of UNMC faculty members. In addition to UNMC personnel, who will compose the majority of the membership of STAC, members also will be solicited from the community at large.

“Ideal candidates will have appropriate experience in the development and commercialization of bio-medical technology inventions, and will be interested in helping to improve the UNMC system for technology transfer,” Dr. Rosenquist said.

Anyone interested in being considered for membership in STAC should send an electronic CV to Dr. Rosenquist at throsenq@unmc.edu or to Agneta at lagneta@unmc.edu.
