UNMC Printing Services wins awards

picture disc.UNMC Printing Services recently won eight awards — four gold and four silver, plus a Special Judges Citation for Best Use of a Pop Up — at the annual Heartland Print Gallery.

The awards were announced Jan. 24. Each year, printers from across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, enter projects that they have produced in the awards competition. After being judging by a panel of printers from outside the area, the awards and special recognition are presented at the Heartland Print Gallery.

This year marked the first time UNMC Printing Services has won a special citation, said Allen Olson, manager of UNMC Printing Services. The Durham Research pop up, designed by Joe Edwards, was sent to community leaders inviting them to November’s DRC dedication ceremony.

“Once again Printing Services has been recognized by their peers for their excellence in their craft,” said Don Leuenberger, vice chancellor for business and finance at UNMC. “Congratulations to everyone…and especially those who produced these award winning projects…This is due recognition, once again, in the overwhelming excellence of your product.”
